This film is the story of two young men who have become socially isolated and are living in their own closed world. Tired of the glitter and noise of modern life, they no longer see themselves as ordinary people. Instead, they believe they are part of a great and sacred mission.

Their minds are deeply influenced by conspiracy theories. They believe the system running the world is an illusion—a fake cover. According to them, behind this system are not powerful institutions, but a non-human force controlling everything.

Because of this belief, they start doubting a powerful, well-dressed, and seemingly respectable businesswoman (played by Emma Stone). To them, she is not just a human being but an alien in human form, working on a plan to take over Earth. They see her as a living symbol of a cruel and exploitative system that silently traps humanity.

Driven by this belief, they kidnap her. After the abduction, they take her to a deserted place, shave her head, and apply a special cream to her body so that, according to them, she cannot contact her spaceship or alien kind. Chained and helpless, the woman is treated like an accused criminal. At first, the young men try to convince her through logic and conversation, but as time passes, their mental state worsens. Logic turns into emotion, argument turns into violence, and reality slowly slips out of their hands.

On the other side, when the woman suddenly disappears, the police and state institutions begin searching for her. However, the search leads nowhere. The kidnapped woman’s mysterious behavior and meaningful statements make the situation even more confusing. Instead of reducing the young men’s doubts, her actions strengthen their beliefs. They go so far that they are no longer willing to accept any proof, logic, or even basic human sympathy.

Believing themselves to be saviors, they reach a point of destruction from where there is no return. They think the whole world is asleep and only they are awake, only they can see the truth. This psychological state is spreading rapidly in today’s world through social media, where everyone starts believing they know everything, hold the biggest secrets, and see others as ignorant.

Is the woman really connected to a non-human species, or is all this just a result of the young men’s delusions, fears, and broken minds?

And will she be able to escape this painful captivity?

To find the answers, watch Bugonia, which is also available in Hindi dubbing.
